WARNING: *Spoilers ahead*

Following a suspenseful end to The Recruit Season 2, the future of the Netflix spy adventure series is up in the air, with no clear confirmation that the show will be renewed for a third season… yet. After airing its second season at the end of January, there has been a surge of chatter around the fate of the boyish series, and some pretty interesting insights about the potential angle season 3 could take.

Fans are already anticipating what’s to come for the under-seasoned CIA Lawyer played by ex-Disney and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before dreamboat, Noah Centineo. Some action-packed adventures and plot twists could definitely be on the cards, especially after we left off with some pretty major spanners thrown in the works—like the shock reveal that Laura Haddock’s Maxine Meladze was dead!!!

Has The Recruit Been Renewed For Season 3?

Although The Recruit Season 2 has concluded, Netflix hasn’t rushed to give any new season of episodes the greenlight as of the moment. However, we are not counting out the possibility that a third season is on the horizon for fans. Reflecting on past announcements, it was revealed that Season 2 would be coming several weeks after Season 1’s finale, getting confirmed in late January 2023.

When comes down to the nitty-gritty, a pretty good indicator of whether we will be getting the third season is if Season 2 continues to rake in the views. As reported by ForbesThe Recruit Season 2 premiere pulled 5.9 million views in the first 48 hours since airing.

What Has The Recruit’s Showrunner Said About A Third Season?

Despite no official confirmations around  The Recruit Season 3, showrunner Alexi Hawley doesn’t seem deterred. In conversation with Deadline after Season 2’s finale, Alexi posited, “We’re waiting for Netflix to officially do their thing,” but he is “feeling super positive about it:”

“We’re waiting for Netflix to officially do their thing with it. There’s a lot of goodwill inside Netflix towards the show and towards Noah; I think they very much feel like Noah is a homegrown star, which he is. So, I’m feeling super positive about it, as positive as you can feel in this town at this time.”

So hopefully, this “goodwill” Alexi has nurtured with Netflix will be the key to opening the door to the production of The Recruit Season 3 soon!

What Does Noah Centineo Think About a Season 3?

The show’s star, fan-favourite young gun Noah Centineo, is holding out hope that season 3 (if it gets greenlit) will be a hectic one! Noah has been the face of the Netflix adventure-filled fiasco portrying young Owen Hendricks, a fresh-face lawyer joining the CIA who all of a sudden finds himself tangled in a highly thrilling international conspiracy. Speaking on the potential for a third season to be in our midst to Blavity, Noah has said he thinks it needs to be “really crazy,” to top the “banger” of a season The Recruit S2 was.

He went on to say “We need to triple down on the danger and the action because he’s learned a lot, and we’re gonna need a really crazy Season 3 to stand up to Season 2. Season 2 is a banger of a season, and if we get a third season, all I know is that it needs to be crazy.”

Noah also admitted, “The show very well could end after Season 2… I don’t want it to [laughs], and I hope people don’t want it to. I think that Owen has learned so much that a third season would have to put him in horrifyingly adrenalized danger.”

We will remain vigilant on this one for any new details, or hopefully a season 3 renewal confirmation. *Fingers crossed!*

RuneScape: Dragonwilds has fixed the classic survival crafting trope of endlessly chopping down trees thanks to an excellent spell system that does the hard work for you

When I was first shown RuneScape: Dragonwilds—Jagex’s answer to survival crafting games like Valheim and Enshrouded with its own Gielinor flavour—the star pupil of the whole presentation were most certainly the spells. They’re shortcuts to make some of the more tedious parts of survival crafting a lot more palatable: Spectral axes that can chop down […]
